Well if Micah already didn't like going to the doctor, he would now ... Ever since his hospital stay in February he has not been a big fan of the Doctor's office and I can't say that I blame him. Last Thursday he had to go to the
ENT and get a hearing test and they had to clean his ears out because of lots and lots of post op ear wax. So we had to hold him down. Then Friday he got his immunizations done. On Sunday we were at a family party at Clint's Dad and Step Mom's house. Micah was playing in their play room and lost his balance. When he put his hands out to catch himself his poor little thumb got pinched in the
accordion style closet door. And it nearly severed the tip of his thumb off. It was super gross! We drove very fast to Primary
Children's Hospital where they took great care of our little guy. They sedated him to do the stitches but he wasn't totally out so he was jabbering and sticking his tongue out. It was pretty funny. He ended up with barely any fingernail left and 7 stitches. He is doing great and you wouldn't even know that he has a brace on. He is playing and eating and doing everything he usually does. Thank Heaven for Children's Motrin and Tylenol! I am so grateful that it was not worse than it was. I am also so grateful for the wonderful staff in the
PCMC emergency room for putting my little guy back together. Now if we can just stay away from the doctor for a little bit we would be super happy :o)
Here are some pictures from Clint's phone. They are kinda yucky so viewer beware!
