Soccer!

Makayla just started soccer this week. She was not sure about it at first but is getting the hang of it and the first thing I hear in the morning is "soccer today?". She gets to play with her buddy Dakota Larsen. She is his little body guard and as they were practicing she started yelling give the ball to Dakota! It is cute to watch her watch out for him, but she is border line bossy! As you would expect 3 & 4 year olds to act they run out of bounds, past the goal posts, watch the airplanes go by and play with kite string that they found on the grass about 25 feet past the field! It is so much fun to watch. Makayla got to kick the ball a few times but got frustrated with all the kids trying to get the ball at the same time but started to push back and got in the middle of it. We are so proud of our little soccer star!
The first time kicking into the goal
Team huddle
Before they started the practice game they were practicing running up and down the field and Makayla had a ball but a little boy came and took it so she went and got a different one from the other teams net!

As Promised ...

Ok so here are the Air Show pictures! We had such a fun time even though it was pretty hot and there were soooooo many people there!

As we were getting out of the car Makayla started acting like an airplane! She was just a little bit excited!!

These planes were crazy!

Co Pilot Makayla. She would not sit in the pilots chair!

The Air Force OCC Chopper. It was super cool!

Thunderbird F-16. We were bummed that we didn't get to see them fly but it was cool to see the plane.

Me, Makayla, & Micah taking a little rest in a huge plane

Clint took Makayla inside a re-fuler airplane and this was inside.
We were all exhausted after but had a great day at Hill Air Force Base!

Oh Boy! We are in trouble!!

Makayla came home from preschool happy as ever today. She got off the bus and ran inside and gave me her back pack so I can get her stuff out. She gets a report from her teachers every school day. Here is a glimpse of what I saw today.

Today at school I was .....
Happy and Cooperative
During Circle Time I did participate
During Work Time I chose to play with cars
I played with babies and dress up and I did help clean up
For snack I did eat milk and crackers

So you may be thinking what are you in trouble about? She participates and cleans up and eats her snack. The bottom says "Messages from my Teachers" and this is where it gets good

She kissed a couple of boy's even when she was told not to.

Notice it says a couple of boys not a single boy! And she kept doing it when asked to stop. I guess we need to have some more discussions about listening! I tried not to laugh in front of her and asked her if she kissed the boys today and she kinda giggled and said Yeah I did. And it begins ...

Update

We have been busy lately! The days seem to be going by faster than ever and I just can't keep up. Two weekends ago we went to the air show at Hill Air Force Base. It was busy and loud and sooooo cool! Makayla loved watching the planes fly and looking at the planes on display. We also got to see the chopper made for the Air Force by Orange County Choppers (Clint loves watching American Chopper so it was cool to see one in person!) We got some cool pictures from that day but I have not gotten them off the camera yet so they will follow one of these days!
Last weekend we went to our niece Kaitlyn's 8th Birthday party. It was fun to see her and I can not believe how big she is getting. Then we went to a family dinner at Clint's Grandparents house. It was nice to see them and they had fun holding Micah.
Micah is getting so big! I swear he changes each day and is holding his head up much better these days, he is alert and watches everything. He sleeps longer overnight and has slept through the night already! We have been practicing drawing shapes with Makayla. With her having low muscle tone when she was little it has lingered a little in her hands so have been working on building the muscles up for a while. She has mastered the circle and recently the square. It has been fun to watch her sit with her notebook and draw away!
We have been lucky so far and have stayed healthy with all the flu outbreak and hope to keep it that way! There have been several families in our ward that have the Swine Flu. So once again our house is going to smell like Clorox Clean Up today. :o)

Kids ...

As you can guess with a new baby life has been a little crazy around here. With all of the changes I must say that Makayla has handled everything rather well. She has however, started pushing every button that she can testing her boundaries as a new BIG sister. She does like to help and will get things for me when asked and sometimes even without being asked! But she has been going to time out more often and driving me up the walls.
Yesterday Micah was having a rough day and I laid him on a blanket on the floor to see if it would calm him down to be able to see everything and just be left alone for a while and did not help! Sweet Makayla went and laid next to him on the blanket and kept saying "Micah it will be ok". She gave him hugs and kissed him on the cheeks, arms and hands and it distracted him enough that he stopped crying. They laid there together for a while and were just happy to lay together. I know that times will not always be like this so I am happy that I was able to get it on camera so I can remind them later that they really do love each other and need to get along!!

Thank You Makayla for being such an awesome daughter and big sister! I think I have the cutest kids in the world.
