Micah's First Rice Cereal

On July 28th we gave Micah Rice Cereal for the first time! Well officially we have been putting a little bit in a bottle before bed time for about a month but this was the first time a little thicker and on a spoon! He surprised me and did pretty good. He was one happy little guy and now if he doesn't have his Rice at 8:00 he is a grumpy baby! Great job Micah!!

He was just a little bit messy at the end! But so much fun for him to hit this milestone. I can't believe how big he is now!

Moon Lake 2009

We went to Moon Lake for our annual camping trip in the beginning of July. It was a great trip with awesome weather, food, and family! This was Micah's first camping trip and he loved it. He was getting over a double ear infection and so I was worried about him being grumpy but he slept great and loved being outside so much. Here are a few pictures of our best Moon Lake trip ever :o)

Here is awesome Moon Lake

Playing at the beach was one of the kids favorite things to do. We constantly heard them asking if we could go back down to the beach so they could play!

Pawker trying to get Makayla to walk in the water. She wanted nothing to do with it. She was pulling with all she had to not get her feet wet!
Eventually she did get in and at first was not happy about it then realized it was not so bad and she willingly walked in and out to fill up buckets with water.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House

At the end of June (oops forgot a few important things that we did at the end of June and beginning of July) we got the chance to visit the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. We invited Clint's Mom and Step-Dad to come to dinner and go with us. As we walked into the temple my brother Eric was standing inside! He was helping at the Open House. It was cool to see him considering that there are so many places he could have been and we got to see him twice :o). It is such a beautiful temple and it was so cool to be able to let Makayla go into a second temple in a year. She loved it and whenever we drive by she gets so excited and says "pretty temple mom". I absolutely love that she is appreciating the beauty and importance of temples already.
In July Clint and I got the opportunity to volunteer at the open house. We were lovingly dubbed the "elevator people"! We helped direct and run the busiest elevator for 5 hours. We were tired but so thrilled at the end. It was such a neat experience to be able to help at the open house.
