FIrst

Having a new baby is so exciting because of all of the "firsts". The first time you see that beautiful baby, the first smile, the first laugh, the first time they are so excited to see you, first holidays ... the list goes on and on. But on the other end of the spectrum are the sad "firsts". The first immunization shots, the first tummy ache, the first sickness. We all hope that the bad "firsts" don't come at the same time.
This past week Micah has not been his usual happy self, don't get me wrong he has been happy but his sleeping habits changed and he was a little bit grumpy. Wednesday night came around and he woke up twice. For a little guy who sleeps from 9:00 pm - 6:00 or 7:00 am this was unusual especially since he woke up screaming. In the morning I noticed something on his face by his ear and his ear was covered in yellow goop. Yup ruptured ear drum! Holy Crap did I feel horrible. I just thought he had tummy aches or was just having a rough week as we all have, but no he had an ear infection! Poor little guy only 3 months old and not only did he get an ear infection but the ear drum ruptured!! The doctor is going to keep a close eye on him and he may have tubes like his big sister! We really hoped that he would not have to deal with the ear infections especially this early. But I am happy to say that the Tylenol and ear drops seem to be helping so far (we are only 1 day into treatment!) and he has had a much better day today. We will keep everyone posted and keep our fingers crossed that this does not become a pattern!

AWE!! Poor little guy! That makes me so sad! Hopefully he won't need tubes. Glad he seems to be feeling a little better though!

SO SORRY! I know what it is like to have an unhappy baby. Hang in there!
