She was treated with an I.V. treatment of Gamma gobulin and Aspirin, and within a day started smiling again. Which was the best sight! After a week of sleeping in a rocking chair and fold out hospital chair Clint and I were more than ready to be home! We had to give Makayla an aspirin everyday until September when a follow up Echocardiograhm showed that the inflammation was gone and she would no longer need to be treated, and there is no real follow up needed. Such great news!!
Makayla was back to her good old happy self and we noticed that her hair was falling out in chunks on the sides and back of her head! So to remedy this we cut her hair, well buzzed her hair is a better description! Here are the before and after!
At the end of April we moved out of our apartment and moved in with Clint's brother Chane while we looked for our house. We moved into our house in July! It was great to be homeowners and have a place of our own.
In the summer we took camping trips to Moon Lake, Jackson Hole and the Family Campground in Henefer, UT. We had lots of fun spending time with family and being in the outdoors!
Makayla's hair was growing fast and we had fun playing with it. The many hair styles of Makayla!!
We went Deer hunting this year and even though Clint did not get a deer we had lots of fun. This was Makayla's first Deer Hunt and we had nice weather so we could be outside during the day which is one of her favorite things!

Halloween was lots of fun this year. During the Priesthood Session of Conference Makayla and I went to Gardner Village to go and see the witches. She had lots of fun pointing at all of the decorations and watching all of the people, as it was completely packed!
Makayla was a bunny for Halloween and was a little bit overwhelmed at all of the commotion and everyone must have looked so silly being dressed up and giving her treats!! But being the awesome baby that she is tolerated it just fine and had a good time!
On Makayla's first Birthday we did not give her a cake but she got a birthday Twinkie. She was not sure about it at first but decided it was okay in the end.
When we had her Birthday Party we had a great turn out from wonderful family and friends and she did not know what to think with everyone sitting around her and looking at her! She was spoiled rotten but she had a great birthday.
Makayla's second Christmas was busy but very fun. We spent Christmas Eve with the Monson Family. Then first thing Christmas morning we did our gifts and saw what Santa brought in our stockings.
Then we went to the Andrews family mid-morning and to the Brown family in the afternoon. Santa scared her and made her very nervous, she was not happy at all to sit on his lap. I think some day she will warm up to him ;o)
