Christmas Eve

We went to my Mom and Dad's house for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner. It was sooo good and we had a fun time. We started off with the yummy pork roast dinner,

Then had our Family Home Evening where the kids acted out the Christmas Story. Makayla was Mary, and loved every minute of it.

Micah was baby Jesus and he was so good. He just sat there on Makayla's lap the entire time and we did not hear one peep out of him.

Then my nephew Alexander entertained us with Silent Night and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen on his trumpet. He did an awesome job and we are proud of him.

Then it was present time. We started with the kids ...

Micah decided to help Alexander open his present before it was Alexander's turn. He just kept ripping chunks of paper off, the little stinker! Then when it was Micah's turn to open his presents he didn't even want to touch the paper!

Makayla got a fun princess bath time set. She started begging for a bath before we even got home!

Then it was Micah's turn He got a fun dinosaur stuffed animal

and a cool fuzzy jacket and a picture of Jesus for his room

Grandma and Grandpa always give pajamas to the kids and the second they open them the kids all grab them and run upstairs to change into them. It is fun to watch them get so excited for matching jammies!

Then we headed home to get ready for Santa. I ran out of time to make cookies so Santa got muddy buddies and milk this year! I didn't think Makayla was going to go to sleep that night. She was so excited and when I finally got her into bed she started to cry. When I asked her what was wrong she said she wanted to wait up to see Santa :o) I reminded her that Santa will only come after she falls asleep and she seemed ok with that and eventually fell asleep. We had a great Christmas Eve and were so very excited for Christmas Day.
